Randomness ramblings.........

Athletes have million dollar contracts. Actors get millions for a single movie. There are numerous others getting paid ridicules amounts of money.

Go ahead, ask me how much money I'm gonna make this year? Here's some background on me so you can determine an amount.

I'm a Teacher, Social Director, Nutritionist, Cleaner, Banker, Chef, Personal Shopper, Go-fer, Preacher of proper morals and values, activities coordinator, medical consultant, psyo-analysts, and i should look presentable and pleasing, happy and always have a "life is good" Arie about me.
Even the people who hold those positions singularly as their careers don't get paid enough, in my opinion. Police, Firefighters, Teachers should make more. However, maybe the money would go to their heads too and they would lose sight as well.

Z - E - R - O, that's what I'll make this year!
(Please forgive me that i sound a tad bitter, it was a bad day when i wrote this)

Have you ever had a dream about the Devil? Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis? Well I got to experience them both at the same time Sunday night!
Never, in all my years of dreaming, have i battled the Devil. It was terrifying! I've been up against quite a few scary things in all those years but never the Devil. I was also experiencing, at the same time, sleep paralysis. That is when you body goes dead. No matter how hard you try to move, shout, scream - you can't! Your trapped! In your dream as well as your physical body. I awoke to Bill shaking me and saying "it's only a dream Cher, it's OK". Even for a few moments after your eyes open, as wide as they possible can, you can't move and your breathing is very heavy, like you just ran a race.
I'm gonna do a little googling about dreams and see if i can figure out what it was trying to tell me. I finally got to tell Bill what i was dreaming about this morning and the first thing he said is "Oooohhhh, you better change something girlie, or you'll be in trouble." Whatever that means!

Amy went next door to play on Friday and got hit with a pellet gun the boy was playing with. Apparently he got it for his birthday from one of his friends. She got hit 4 times!!! (not one of her bright bulb moments) she said "When he shot me in the coat it didn't hurt, but when he shot me in the leg it really hurts" I said "Did he purposely point the gun at you and pull the trigger?"
her answer "Yes" my reply "and you let him do this 4 times!!!!!!!!"
Anyway - I was so mad at this kid, his parents and Amy! It took me quite a few hours to calm down. I'm glad, in a way, that i waited because if i would have stormed over there and read them the riot act it would have been very ugly. I did tell his parents and i did mention how angry i was about the incident and left it at that. Saga I'm sure is 'to be continued'.

We went to the NASA museum in Cleveland on Saturday. It is amazing! I saw what the Mars Rover looks like up close. It's not a very big machine, I'd say about the size of those larger remote control cars the sell as toys. I saw a replica of the rocket they are building now for the next trip to the moon. AND, the company i used to work for in New Jersey is making the mirrors that will be going into the telescope that will be on those rockets! (really cool and I'm so happy for them) There was a simulator there where you could try your skills to land a space shuttle. (I crashed, both times!! he-he) An astronaut - I'm not!!!

My last rant for the moment is GAS! Just got news that we will be paying at least 75 cents more per gallon by the end of the year. As I thought about adding this to my randomness page i realized that with the exception of one, all my blogger friends are scattered around the globe and no where near my back yard. So then i wondered.....Are you going through the same gas pricing game?

Oh yes, Cheryl, I can well imagine how mad you were at your neighbour's child and how baffled at your daughter's allowing him to shoot her 4 times! Sheesh!! It makes you wonder what that child's future has in store.

About the gas prices, we the prices here fluctuate on a weekly basis, and sometimes even daily, but we pay the equivalent of just over 8 dollars a gallon here in the Netherlands. I wonder how that compares as I have no idea what you pay over there?

OMG! OMG! You have got to be kidding me! 8 dollars a gallon!?!?
And to think i'm concerned at $4.75
WOW, I am totally blown away! How are you doing it? I mean, we couldn't afford to even get to work paying those prices!
