School

Today is the beginning of a new school year. I just put my baby on the bus and now she's on her own. I hope she remembers where her classroom is. I hope she finds a friend to sit on the bus with, and at lunch. I pray she didn't inherit my nervousness. (It used to be paralizing) I should be running around and jumping for joy, i've got the whole house to myself. But i am sad and its too quiet! Maybe tomorrow!?!

Last trip of the summer. Family from New Jersey met family from Ohio in Pennsylvania for a quick get together. It was loads of fun but way too short. The family from NJ took a white water rafting trip but Amy is a bit young yet for such an adventure. It was Amy's first real camping trip and she loved it so we will definately be back. Well thats all the ME time i can afford! Off to blast some music and clean the bathrooms then cut the grass b-4 it rains. I hope everyone is well and happy!

extra average, ordinary me!

Hey MC,
the first week is going great - for her!! She likes her teacher and she has made some new friends!! I was going to make a blog about the "horror" i experienced the 2nd day but haven't been able so here it is....
the 2nd day was going better than the first for me! got a lot accomplished and was eagerly waiting for Aimster to step off the bus so we could play some catch in the yard. I was sitting on the front step of the house at around 3:30, she gets out of school at 3:20. School is not far from the house. At 3:45 i start to get a little nervous. My neighbors kid was dropped off already - where is my Amy????? No other buses can be heard or seen and no other neighbors are waiting for their kids. It is now 3:55, still no sound or sight of a bus. I'm in shere panic mode now. My neighbor came out to see if i was OK and i told her i was about to go crazy. She talked with me to keep me calm and now it is 4:00. "No way in hell its takes 40 to 45 minutes to bring my girl home from school which is 10 minutes away from the house!!!!!" COMPLETE PANIC AT THIS POINT. Then....i hear the bus. What a sigh of relief, right?
WRONG
Well the bus drove right past the house. I saw Amy and waved & figured they would drop her off on the way back. He comes back up the street passes our house again and turnes down another street. I waved at Amy again! There was no way he could pass the house a third time and not drop her off - right?
WRONG
He passed the house again and headed out of the development!!!
I ran in the house got my keys, jumped in the truck and peeled (thats an old expression)out of the drive after my girl. I catch up to the bus, jump out of the truck and and say to the bus driver
"MAY I PLEASE HAVE MY DAUGHTER". He looked a bit frazzled and said "Uh...Sure". Then she appeared. You could almost hear the choir sing Ahhhh-Haaaa! She had a panic look on her face as well as relief. I then said "please pick her up and drop her off at our drive - Thank you". Amy and I started walking to the truck and she said "I thought he was taking me back to school!"

It's not really that horrific and i'm not much of a story teller or a writer but there you have it!
Well that took up too much time. I've got to go and cut the grass, clean the garage, pay the bills, do laundry, pick up Jeff from football practice @ 4:30, get vanilla frosting so i can make the cake i promised Aimster i would do yesterday and so on, and so on, and so on! Thanks for listening.

Oh my god. I would have panicked myself. Did you report the driver to the school? I would have reamed the driver a new one! I am just glad it worked out in the long run.

Hi Cheryl Ann

Some scenes have such universal meaning, they are breathtaking with or without literary talent.

Your story made me hold my breath until you had Aimster in your truck safe and sound!
