On Wednesday we (mother, david and myself) are going to the "home" my father is in to discuss his progress. Thank you for all the hugs, huddles, thoughts, and wishes. They are truly pulling me through. Here's a thought and a challenge. I sure could use some GOOD news for a change.........anyone got any?

My good news...
Beth has the opportunity to take a good post secondary course.
Bobby is staying with us for the next 2 weeks.
Jenny came with us to watch the Slalom event on Sunday.
It snowed last night.
Hugs
Dale
Maureen, thanks an right back at cha! how do you make those hearts?
Dale, that is good news and thanks for sharing it! I'm not sure what a good post secondary course is but i hope she takes the good opportunities she's provided. Have a great time with Bobby - loads of smiles and hugs! Sounds like you had great company at the event. Go out and catch some snowflakes on your cheeks and smile.
My Dad just called me!!!! He is the greatest!! He wanted to tell me that he just got back from a Sing-along (at the "home" where he is staying) and the first song they sang was called, oh crap now i forgot, well it had his name in it. The nurse aid came to his room after lunch and told him he has to be there today because they were going to sing his song. So he went, and had a great time! They played two other of his favorites one I'd only know if I heard it and the other was 'In Heaven there is no beer' a polka i remember VERY
well! (Did I mention he is the greatest) He was so happy he had to call and tell me!
---that is my good news---
(yea, i have some)
hugs en luv xx
YAY!!!
That IS good news!!!
Hey, how about instead of calling it "the home" we call it the "healing hotel". It sounds so much more positive!!

Ok, to make the little "thingies"...
ampersandheartssemicolon, but use the ampersand key and the semicolon key. If I type it the way it is supposed to be done, it will do it! Replace the word hearts with clubs, spades or diams !
(I hope that worked!)
DALE YAY to you, too!!
IF the home... erm, healing hotel... is a good one, he should heal well and speedily!
Um, good news: well, I am now well versed on HIV treatments thanks to a successful course the last few days... knowledge is good!
And I have my snow tires on.
And I just had a lovely espresso.
And I really like my new aubergine bra.
And I love the word aubergine.
Wednesday I am going to do some meditation and send good everythings your way...
xxxxx
Thinking of you today...
Your Dad IS the greatest!
Love
Dale
next to my own Dad, of course...
;)
Nice to hear Your good news !!.
Your Dad is a trouper!, it's wonderful to hear of him singing, it must make you feel better knowing how happy he is.
Good news.
well,..I've been lost in flea-bay this week..but..I got some real bargains including a jacket i've been after for ages..have you heard of the make Barbour?, it's a specially desinged jacket made mainly for outdoors because it has a special wax on it, they are VERY exspensive to buy..anything from £126-£400...well..da da!..I got mine for...wait for it..£4+£5postage!!..it fits perfect..I get in to a 11-12 years, they were desinged by a woman near by who is now a multi millionaire..
Huddles to you and your dad..xx..
Lovely news about your Dad's call Cheryl Ann, and I hope it keeps getting better. Dale's news is also great, and the news that they can now make bras out of vegetables (Stevie) just can't be a bad thing. Gypsy's bargain is brilliant, Maureen is obviously brilliant all round, and ... I am too busy running around this week for any kind of real news, but Mads says she played well at her audition for her first preference uni course so that's encouraging, and um, I flew to Sydney and back with a head cold and my eardrums didn't burst so that's good too. And the sun is shining and the birds are singing and Em's having a great time in Canada and even though my house is an absolute tip at the moment I am managing not to get completely depressed about it. Almost. The best news of all though is that you are posting and sounding positive.
Margie, Stevies making bras out of vegetables!?...
Ohh, I have some spare sprouts she can make me one!..aha!..
sorry for the delay friends, my pooter seems to have a problem. i've tried to write a dozen times and it keeps kicking me out and shutting down - one more time, short and sweet.......
the news was good, they are expecting he could come home on Christmas Eve! He's making progress!
If I lived a million years I still would not be able to thank you all for your support and coaching. Please know in your hearts i am forever grateful. X
What is the ampersand key?
Had to look up aubergine (eggplant)
taking "going green" to a whole new level (or purple) ?
I am shopping with you from now on Gypsy! And I bet it looks stunning on you! It feels good to be on the positive side of things, Margie.
Let's keep this good thing going!
YAY!!!!!!!! I am so HAPPY your dad is making progress!!! WOO HOO!
What a wonderful Christmas present that will be to have dad home for Christmas!!!!
♥
The ampersand is the symbol on the 7 key! It is this - -&.
♥
Do you remember the dress I wore for Joni's wedding? That was aubergine! Too bad the dress itself was so fugly!!!
♥
I am so happy for you {{{HUGS}}}
♥
THANK YOU
i learned somtin new
what's this do?
♥
How'd you do blue lettering??????
Lovely to hear your good news Cheryl Anne, and yes please for it to continue!
Gypsy, I did hear that whole chilled cabbage leaves applied to engorged breasts give relief to many a nursing mother - so maybe veggie bras are an established precedent! Aubergine's a nicer colour though.
LOL
I thought Aubergine was a brand name.
You know...like Prada.
hee hee! Yes Dale, I got a giggle today when I saw you and you told me that! Wish like heck I'd been wearing it so I could've flashed you a peek!
Gyspy, maybe this could be a new organic line of undies...
hmmm...
Carrot demi-bras, aubergine cleavage enhancers, pea green bodices and lettuce leaf g-strings!
Cheryl Ann, wonderful news about your dad... and VERY wonderful that you are back with us... strength in numbers darling...

And I wouldn't even try. Complete techno-dill me.
Been 35 degrees C here today, and my veggie lingerie is wilting badly. Hope things are going OK for you Cheryl Ann.

Hiya Cheryl,
My MIL is 82 and very ill and we are staring into *home* issues too. Not yet, but I cannot imagine some day soon it won't be a serious topic.. it's so hard. But your good news is wonderful, and so here's to better and better days to your dad.
I'll share some good news. I don't know if you knew I was invited to be a part of the CD that the bloggers gave to Rachel and Pete. Well Rachel gave permission for our songs to appear at our myspaces and IAC. I plopped mine at IAC on 11/25 and on 11/26 Cashbox Magazine placed it on their Top Ten Pop Picks chart!!!! I am 1) stunned as I just did it as a shameless vanity thing without a clue there were charts involved at IAC and 2) honored beyond belief.. and so.. thats my good news. I hope you continue to get more and more of your own from you dad.
::hugs::
