1) Post rules before you give your facts.
2) List 8 random facts about yourself.
3) At the end of your post, choose (tag) 8 people and list their names, linking to them. (only found four to tag)
4) Leave a comment on their blog, letting them know they've been tagged.

1) I need to lay on my back to get sleepy then turn on my right side with my arm under my pillow, which is under my head, to go to sleep.
2) I hate guns. My Uncle Bob was a Cleveland Police Officer. He would visit once in a while after work wearing his gun in its holster and it would put me in a frozen scared kind of state.
3) I am very naive. ( I believe all Neil's stories;)
4) My next attempt to quit smoking will be Sept. 17th. I drink loads of coffee and i need to lose weight.
5) Being like my mother frightens me.
6) I wish I had a talent. (drawing, writing, singing, musical, dancing, ect.)
7) I have yet to meet a better bunch of people than i've met here in blogland. I have shared many tears and celebrations. I don't comment alot but i visit everyone everyday. I am not confident with my writings, but i strive to be better.
8) THE WHO
Somewhere inside the music and words there is a home for me and it's the most comfortable place in the world. Once in a while i like to shut the real world off, take a bottle of wine and my headphones and go home.

Hi Cheryl Ann!
I'm quite similar in your #1, but I'd never thought about it before.
I, too, feel uncomfortable around guns.
I consider myself informed naive...
If I am thankful for anything (other than my children), it is the fact that I never smoked.
We all have talent - some yet untapped.
I love our circle of friends, too, and I visit your site daily, as well.
And I completely understand that connection with The Who!
They feel like family to me and Pete is my mentor.
I missed one...
Being like my mother scares me so much I missed it!
I am cery glad you are part of this blogland family Cheryl Ann... and I enjoyed your 8 facts!
As far as quitting smoking goes, (and incidentally Sept. 17 is my Ian's birthday, so perhaps an auspicious choice!) know deep within yourself you are doing it foryou, and remember that cigarettes are like an abusive lover... they hurt you, they are bad for you, you must get away, but be wary of the times when your guard is down and you think, gee, it wasn't all that bad, we had some good times, didn't we? that is the addiction talking, just like a guy that gives you a black eyes then buys you flowers and candy the next day and is "so sorry and it will never happen again" trying to woo you back convince you they are really not that bad. Sneaky, they are! But you are strong, you are powerful, more powerful than they are, and you CAN stop.
Here's a trick that I used: get some pretzel sticks, the stright ones, and bite of the end (or ends, whatever feels like the right resistance). If you hold it like a smoke, drag on it like a smoke and blow out like you are slowing blowing out the "smoke", I kid you not, you will feel like you just had a puff... it's the deep breathing. You'll miss it, and you'll think it's the nicotine addiction, but give it a try and I think you'll see you are missing the deep breaths even more. The trick is to go through all the motions you would if you were smoking.
Oh, and wash everything and clean your wholehouse so you get rid of the smell of cigarettes, then next time you smell one, you'll be glad you got rid of the odour.
xx
What do you mean Cheryl, Neils storys are true!!..
You certainly have a talent for writing as I always enjoy reading your posts..and I bet a talent hidden there for many things you just need the confidence to bring it out..
I sleep the same as you!!...with my hand tucked under my pillow..I think we are seperated at birth twins..
Hi Cher! I miss you, I was thinking about old school Pfaltzgraff times the other day.... we had some good times, I miss truck day!!!
Good luck with the quitting smoking, I know you can do it. =)
Hey Cher,
I hate guns, too. I think you know why.
You look fine and don't NEED to lose any weight, but if you WANT to, then you will. Now, I NEED to lose weight!!
I've been sick since I got back, but I will do my tag. I don't have 8 people to tag ;(
Talk to you soon
Once again i am at a loss for replies to all your great comments. Just know i really do appreciate that you all stop by and keep me company. (HUGS)
Being a better friend is also on my list of "self-improvements"!
You are just fine as you are, you don't need improvement..
By the by, you need not be in suspenders anymore, I have explained my ..(coughs) traumatic experience..
